Jiarui (Jerry) Xu

Hi, I'm Jerry. I joined Affirm as a new grad eight years ago and have been building ML ever since, growing from engineer to ML manager, and now senior manager on the Labs team. Before that, I did my master's at CMU and undergrad at UIUC.

Lately I've been nerding out on tabular foundation models and ML for financial systems, and I'm happy to jump in on research collaborations.

Other things I care a lot about:

• Agents that actually improve lives: helping people find jobs, grow their careers, and just have a better day-to-day.
• AI and token equity: making sure everyone gets a fair shot at AI, through tech and financial literacy education.
• Language modeling: still endlessly fascinated by it.
